Norma Jean Reece

Norma Jean Reece, age 80, of Jefferson City, TN passed away after a long illness on Friday, November 12, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Vicie Price. Following her marriage to Robert James "R. J." Reece, she lived in Knoxville before retiring to Jefferson City in 2002. Norma was a hardworking, dedicated mother first and foremost, but she also had a long career as the beautician at Shannondale Retirement Home. In later years, she assisted R. J. in the furniture business. She was a member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed good times with her "pew buddies" and Sunday School class. When she lived in Knoxville, she attended West Hills Baptist Church. Norma also enjoyed keeping in touch with her classmates from Maury High School. Norma was preceded in death by her son, Troy Christopher Reece, her husband of 48 years, R. J. Reece; beloved sister, Mavis Price Roach; sister-in-law, Margaret Reece Jenkins and her husband, Tom Jenkins; and brothers, Earl, Dee, and Tommy Price. She leaves her son, James Gregory Reece; sister, Doris Price May; sisters-in-law, Jewell Price and Glenna Rader Price, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 16, at 7:00 p.m. at the Dandridge First United Methodist Church with Rev. Richie Hayes and Rev. Dr. Kristen Burkhart officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment graveside services will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Swann's Chapel Cemetery.
