OBITUARY:
ZELMA CHRISMAN POTTS, age 92, a life long resident of the Swannsylvania Community in Dandridge, TN passed away on Sunday morning, August 20, 2006 at her home. She was a member of the Swannsylvania Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the W.M.U. She was employed by Bush Brothers, Jefferson County School System and operated Potts Flower Shop for several years. She was a graduate of Maury Academy, where she was valedictorian, and loved to travel and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Potts; father, Jim Chrisman; mother, Ida Strange Chrisman; son, Jack B. Potts; sister, Louise Fox; and brother, W. L. Chrisman. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Charles Walker; son, James W. (Bill) Potts; son and daughter-in-law, Donald D. (Don) and Gail Potts; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Betty Potts; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Cheryl Potts; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Wayne Stapleton; twenty-four grandchildren, Charlene, Pam, Jeff, Lisa, Rhonda, Tim, Jim, Tom, Jack, Angela, Rolena, Vickie, Diane, Donna, Barbara, Bryan, Mike, Tony, David, Debra, Diana, Tara, Scott, and Steve; thirty-nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Edmonds, Imogene (James) Bean, Mildred Brady and Maleta (Fred) Fain; brother-in-law, Arnold Fox. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Swannsylvania Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Hensley officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
