WOODROW W. WORKMAN, aged 93 years, of White Pine, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home in Dandridge, Tennessee. Born August 14, 1918, in Quick, WV, he was the son of the late James Walter and Myrtle (Mitchell) Workman.
Mr. Workman worked for 37 years as a mechanic for DuPont in Belle, WV before retiring in1978. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ora (Nichols) Workman. Surviving family members are daughter, Maryellen W. Ladzun and son-in-law, George Ladzun of Tennessee; grand-daughter, Andrea Ladzun-Wilson of Georgia; sister, Bertha Luikart of Ohio.
Memorial service will be held in the mausoleum at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney, WV on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11:00AM with the Rev. Larry Cheesebrew of Ohio officiating.
Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the 11:00 A.M. Tuesday service at the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to the Smoky Mountain Children?s Home, 449 McCarn Circle, Sevierville, TN 37862, or to a local charity of your choice.
