She was teaching when she met Joseph M. Word whom she married, and they enjoyed 63 years together before his death. She often expressed how blessed she was to have met and married Joe. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother in-law, Betty and Jack L. Serving the family, Farrar Funeral Home of Jefferson City will have a guest book available if anyone would like to stop in and leave their condolences.
