William R. (Bill) Fields

WILLIAM R. (BILL) FIELDS, age 71, of New Market, TN passed away at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from Alcoa Aluminum with 30 years of service. He was a charter member of Northview Kodak Volunteer Fire Department. Preceded in death by parents, Eli and Lora Aileen Fields; and brother, Dillard Fields. Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Gwen Fields; daughter, Melanie (Jerry) King of Kodak; sons, Robert (Rachel) Fields of Knoxville, and Joseph Fields of Kodak; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Doug (Kathy) Fields of Maryville, Ray Fields of Madisonville; sisters, Deana (Paul) Crabtree of Florida, Ernie (Roy) Fain of Maryville; sister-in-law, Sandra Collins of Nashville; brother-in-law, Sherman Harris of Nashville; several nieces and nephews. Military graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway, Knoxville. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City.
