William M. "Bill" Stipes, Jr.

WILLIAM (BILL) MILLARD STIPES JR, age 80, 0f Dandridge, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 14, 2025 in Knoxville. 

He was a devoted husband, loving father, and he was a faithful and active member of the French Broad Community Church, White Pine, TN for many years, where he served as Church Deacon, Church Moderator, and Sunday School Teacher for many years. Bill served in the United States Marines for 6 years. He retired from Knoxville Utilities Board.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Denton) Stipes; parents, William and Hazel Stipes; brother, Bob Stipes, sister, Nancy Stipes. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Stacy Stipes, Winchester, VA; sister-in-law Portia Stipes, Corryton, TN; nieces and nephews Bobby, Kelly, Alisha and Keith Stipes, Diane Quisenberry, David (Sharon) Denton, Luke (Kaylin) Quisenberry, Dustin (Robin) Mantooth, Mitchell Mantooth; and many cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge, TN. A graveside service with military honors will be held at the French Broad Community Church cemetery, White Pine, TN on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Justin Breeden officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
