William "Harold" Lane

William “Harold” Lane, age 86, of Knoxville, TN went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 23, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ida Lane; eight brothers, and five sisters. He was a member of Thorngrove Baptist Church, Kodak Masonic Lodge, and Thorngrove Odd Fellows Lodge. He was retired from Men Of Measure and M.S. McClellen after 66 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marvin Lane; four daughters, Sandra (Ken) King, Karen (Tom) Roberts, Loretta (Allan (dec.) McMurry, Sherry (Steve) French; son, Rex (Sara) Lane; grandchildren, Lanette Breeden, Kenny King, Kris Roberts, Luke Roberts, Daniel McMurry, Alison McMurry, Joshua French, Bailey French, Justen Lane, Jacob Lane, Jorri Lane, and Kelsi Smith; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Helen (Clarence) Smith; special friend, Bobby Shepherd; special nephew, Clarence Byrd; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at Thorngrove Baptist Church with Rev. Rock Ramsey, Rev. David Houser, Rev. Ronnie White, Rev. Kim McCroskey, and Rev. Tim Tatum officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Pollard Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the funeral service at the church.
