William Jack Gray

WILLIAM JACK GRAY, age 65, of Dandridge, TN passed away Wednesday morning, March 17, 2010. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and the Vietnam conflict. Jack was a retired employee of Magnavox (Phillips Consumer Electronics) after 35 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked several years as an agent for American General Life and Accident Company. He was an honorary member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon National Fraternity at ETSU. Preceded in death by his parents, Ponder and Marjorie Lines Gray; father-in-law, Frank "Shorty" McSpadden; sister, Thomasene Gray; brothers, Don, Marshall, Ponder Jr., and Eddie Gray. He is survived by his wife, Judy McSpadden Gray; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Arenthia Gray of South Carolina, Rob and Dr. Beth Gray of North Carolina; grandchildren, Brittany and Joshua; step-grandchildren, Shaniqua, Akil and Zion; sister, Carolyn (George) Etherton of Dandridge; brothers, K. L. (Frances) Gray, Buster (Sylvia) Gray, Willis (Bobbie) Gray, all of Newport; mother-in-law, Barbara McSpadden of Dandridge; sisters-in-law, Barbara Gray of Kodak, Eva Gray of Newport, Patsy (John) Davis of Jefferson City, and Kathy Holt of Morristown. Funeral service celebrating the life of William Jack Gray will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel. Graveside interment service with military honors will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
