W.C. (Dub) Britt, age 91 died Sunday, November 24, 2024. W. C. was born on September 8, 1933 to Clyde and Pearl Britt. He grew up in White Pine Tennessee. After high school graduation he joined the United States Air Force. He loved ball games and while in the Air Force he played shortstop for the Washington D. C. Headquarters Team and they won the D.C. Citywide Softball Championship in 1959. While in D.C. he met and married Joan Louise Flood of Lincolndale, New York. They married and had two children. He returned to his hometown and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is retired from the US Air Force and the US Postal Service, where he served as city carrier in Jefferson City, TN. 

He is preceded in death by brothers James Britt, Roy Britt, and Frank Britt. 

He is survived by his his loving wife of 62 years, Joan L Britt, daughter Helen Britt Pate (James) son Ed Britt (Heather) grandchildren Justin Pate, Ben Pate (Jennifer), Allison Pate, Breanna Byrd, Nick Britt great grandchildren Liam Pate, Annie Pate and Henry Pate, sisters Lorene Britt King and Lillie (Snooks) Britt Hutsell and brother Paul Britt, along with several nieces and nephews,  

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 in Dandridge Memorial Gardens at 11:00am

Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine is in charge of the arrangements
