William T. "Bill" Woods

WILLIAM T. "BILL" WOODS, age 89, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday morning, December 17, 2005 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home following an extended illness. He was a member of the Swanns Chapel Baptist Church and was retired from TCI Mining Co. Preceded in death by wife, Georgie Poots Woods; father and mother, John and Myrtle Woods and 11 brothers and sisters. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Bill Satterfield, Mary and Ken Scott of Dandridge; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jeanette Woods of Strawberry Plains, Curt and Charlotte Woods of Dandridge, Ron and Gay Woods of Dandridge; grandchildren, Cindy Cagle, Kim Jordan, Chris Woods, J. J. Patterson and Jon Woods, all of Dandridge, Julie Hutchins and Ginger Watson, both of Strawberry Plains, Wayne Woods of Duncan, SC and Crystal Roddy of Nashville; 20 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews; sister, Ruth Lane of Dandridge. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Jefferson County Nursing Home for their loving care. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. John Price and Rev. Jeff Foster officiating. Interment graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at Swanns Chapel Cemetery.
