William T. "Bill" Smith

OBITUARY: WILLIAM T. ?BILL? SMITH, age 97, a resident of Heritage Center Nursing Care in Morristown, passed away February 23, 2004 at Morristown Hamblen Health Care Center. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith, veteran of World War II, and a native of Jefferson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan T. Smith and Lena Cooper Smith; wife, Inez Smith; and brothers, John, Fred and Glenn Smith. He is survived by sister, Reva Walker of Grand Court in Morristown; a beloved step-daughter, Virginia and husband, J. L. Ollis of White Pine; step granddaughter, Theresa and husband Michael Potts; step great grandchildren, Trey and Jenna Potts of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with Reverend Charlie Harkleroad and Reverend Charles Robison officiating. Graveside interment services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004 at White Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
