(Bill) Maples, age 87 of Jefferson City, TN, formerly of Blaine and Knoxville, passed away Friday, April 22, 2005 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City. He was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church of Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Atkins Maples; son, William (Will) Maples, Jr.; son-in-law, Charles O. Rainwater of Dandridge; parents, Beacher and Lillie Maples of Blaine; sisters, Anna Belle Kerr of Blaine; Nancy Schrimsher of Philadelphia, TN and brother, Ed Maples of Blaine. Survived by son, Paul David Maples of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter: Esther Rainwater of Jefferson City, TN; granddaughter, Becky Dunn and husband, Kenny of Morristown; grandsons, Billy Morgan and wife, Robin of Jefferson City, TN, Scott Morgan and wife, Nancy of Rutledge, TN; great-granddaughters include Jamie Morgan of Jefferson City, TN, Amber Farmer and fiancée, Champ Clark of Chillhowie, VA, Brittney Jarnigan of Morristown, TN, Langley and Chanler Morgan of Rutledge, TN; great-grandson, Matthew Morgan and wife, Latosha of Rutledge, TN and great-great grandson, Cannon Shane Morgan of Rutledge, TN; nine nieces and seven nephews; also many great nieces and nephews. The Family would like to thank the staff of unit two at Life Care Center of Jefferson City for their excellent assistance, compassion and support during our Dad�s illness and death. Also a heartfelt thanks to Kim Shelton of Chandler House Assisted Living in Jefferson City, where Mr. Maples was a resident in 2004. Family and friends will gather 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2005 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City and proceed to Indian Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery (Grainger Co.) for a 1:00 p.m. graveside funeral service with Reverend Clyde Lakin officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday Evening, April 24, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
