William (Bill) D. Collier, age 60, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following a brief illness. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Helm Tool and Die with 38 years of service. He was a PROUD member of the Tuckahoe Rabbit Hunters Club. He was preceded in death by his father, James Estel Collier; grandparents, Andrew and Lelah Collier and J.D. and Nora Collins. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lisa Roach Collier; mother, Virginia Collins Collier of Jefferson City; ,mother-in-law and father-in-law, Virginia and Carmon Roach of Rutledge; sister, Karen Collier; brother, Doug Collier, both of Jefferson City; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sherlene and Ronnie Boling, Gena and Guy McCubbins, and Debbie Stansberry; several nieces, nephews other relatives and special friends. Bill’s special request was to let everyone know “He loved them and appreciated everyone’s prayers during his sickness.” Family and friends will gather 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating. Family will receive friends and celebrate Bill’s life Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. Family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, P.O.
