William (Bill) Branner III, age 66 of Jefferson City, TN passed away at his home surrounded by family on Friday, August 13, 2021. Bill was a graduate of Maury High School, an Army Veteran, and a retiree of MAHLE Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loretta Robinson Branner and William Branner II; brothers, Richard Robinson, Sr., James Branner and Robert Branner; sisters, Betty Robinson Parker and Elizabeth Demus. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted daughter, Melissa Branner of Jefferson City, TN, grandson, William Branner IV of Jefferson City, TN; sisters, Josephine (George) Allen of Dandridge, TN, Mary Keys and Kathy (David) Brown of Jefferson City, TN, sister-in-law, Delores Branner of Newport, TN; aunt, Edna Jean Taylor of Dandridge, TN; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends will gather 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021 at Dandridge Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment with Rev. Mike Branner and Rev. Norman Jefferson officiating. Military honors will be given by VFW Post # 5266. The body will lie in state Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home. The family would like to give special thanks to Smoky Mountain Hospice and his excellent nurse Angie Adams for the care and compassion given Bill during his illness.
