Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 Phone (865) 475-3892 Fax (865) 475-9916 OBITUARY: WILLIAM WALLACE (BILL) ALBRIGHT, of Jefferson City, TN died January 27, 2006 at home under family and Hospice care. He was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County. Bill was born in Jefferson City, TN to Wallace Daniel Albright and Nellie Lee Nichols Albright and was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Frank Nichols Albright and infant brother, Roger Buford Albright. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in pilot training during World War II. After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration, he had a long career with Albers Drug Company of Knoxville, initially as a representative and later Executive Vice-President. His many community activities included president of the Civitan Club, chairman of the Jefferson City Housing Board and many church offices at the First United Methodist Church, including Chairman of the Administrative Board, Trustee, Chairman of the Old Methodist Cemetery Committee and Westview Cemetery Committee, and was a board member of Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by his wife, Jane Austin Albright; children, Marilyn Albright Roofner (Larry), Steve Albright (Peggy) and Brian Albright; and by his ?other children?, Charles Albright (Vera), Helen Albright McClaren and Forrest Albright Palmieri (Brian); four grandchildren, Seth (Cindy), Austin (Misty), Kevin and Manju Albright. Bill was a man of God, a community service advocate, philanthropist, citizen, good friend, husband, father and grandfather, and will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a memorial gift to the First United Methodist Church, 2011 Branner Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760 for the Community Service Endowment or the Old Methodist Cemetery Fund.
