(MARGE) CANNON, age 92, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 5:35 p.m., January 13, 2006 at Parkwest Hospital following a lingering illness. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist church for 67 years, past Worthy Matron of Holston Chapter # 384 Order of Eastern Star, and a charter member of Oakland F.C.E. Club. Preceded in death by husbands, Clem Guy, Caswell Hall and Tom Cannon; sons, Charles and David Guy; daughter, Joyce Wolters; parents, Charles and Vesta Hunter; brother Everett Hunter; sister, Beulah Blalock. She is survived by daughter, Wanda Guy Large of Jefferson City; step-sons, Lee Hall, Donald Cannon and Ralph Cannon, all of Jefferson City; step-daughter, Frances McCarter of Morristown; 21 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Ruby Nelson. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2006 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Westview Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1916 Overlook Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
