Wendy Joan Tempest

WENDY JOAN TEMPEST, age 65, of Jefferson City, TN passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 27, 2022. She was a loving wife, mother, friend, volunteer and philanthropist who would give you the shirt off her back. She loved traveling and enjoyed seeing the country on her motorcycle. A super generous person, she was a volunteer in many organizations. Not just a volunteer but a leader and chair person in many school related functions where it was possible for her to stay close to her children while she also worked full time. She was a community matriarch who was constantly giving back to whoever she could help. Always dear to her heart was the American Cancer Society that she generously supported with her time and effort. Most of all, she was a very present and supportive mom, and everyone else in the community. Preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Joan DeAngelis.  She is survived by her husband, Jeff Tempest; children, Matthew Tempest (Angel), and Amanda Tempest; brothers and sisters, Robert DeAngelis (Sue), Sandra Palladino (Doug), Jill Kuper, Bonnie Roberts, and Ronald Pederson (Kristyn); aunt, Caryl Gordon (Sanford); and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank everyone who played a role in the care of Wendy throughout her sickness. Family and friends have been a great support system during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 2410 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203, or the American Red Cross. Memorial service will be held on 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the home.
