Wendy Ray, age 52, from Dandridge, TN, was carried home on angel?s wings August 12, 2021. She was a kind soul that is painting the heavens with color. Wendy was preceded in passing by her beloved grandparents, William Bradford Ray and Josie Mae Ray and her Uncle Charles ?Shorty? Ray. She is survived by her much loved parents Lee Ray and Charlotte Ray, daughters Josie-Mae Strange and Gracie-Lee Strange, siblings Angelia (Jeff) Shelton and Robert (Tanya) Ray, aunts Pauline Owens and Dorthy (Tom) Henry, uncles Donnie Ray and David (Betty) Ray, and close friend Debbie Newcomb, and many more. Wendy was born and raised in Dandridge, TN, specifically the family Hollow in Chestnut Hill. She had a deep love for the mountains and an even deeper love for the ocean. Her heartbeat to the rhythm of the cicadas and the crash of the waves. She lived each day in color and carried her love of the Lord with her everywhere she went. Wendy loved to help people and bring them feelings of comfort, even when she herself was hurting. She had a deep and unconditional love for her family and adored her parents more than can be explained. She was loved widely but more than that she was loved deeply. Wendy worked as a graphic artist at the family-owned print shop, Ray?s Printing, for many years. Before passing she worked on a ministry driven food truck helping to serve the community and spread God?s love. The family will receive friends Monday August 16, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Farrar Funeral home in Dandridge, TN. There will be a private ceremony at the family cemetery Tuesday. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers. She will be missed more than our words can describe.
