W.E. & Lenora Rines

W.E. and Lenora Rines completed their earthly journey on Saturday, September 19, 2015. They each retired from BASF after 37 years of service. They were members of Point Pleasant Baptist Church, where W.E. was a Sunday School teacher and Lenora was the Sunday School secretary. They were both very active in the Point Pleasant Community. Lenora is preceded in death by her parents; Mae and Garrett Calfee and sister, Joyce Peak. W.E. is preceded in death by mother, Margaret Rines. They leave their daughter, Twyla and granddaughters, Chloe and Madason, W.E. leaves brother, Wheeler Swafford and wife Uta, they leave nephews; Craig Peak and family, Troy and Donna Peak and family, nieces, Kyra and Randy Galler and family, Lita and John Dossey and family, they also leave a host of other family and friends. Their passing will leave a void in the lives of their family, friends and community. This void will only be partially filled by the love they freely gave to everyone they met, and the memories that we made with them throughout their life’s journey. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015, 8:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with the Rev. James Hance and Bishop Billy McCool officiating, family will receive friends from 5-8:00pm prior to the funeral service. Graveside Interment will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015, 1:00pm in Point Pleasant Cemetery. The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Donation be made in memory of W.E. and Lenora to either Point Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3330 Point Pleasant Rd, Newport, TN 37821 or to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital P.O. Box 15010, Knoxville, TN 37901.
