Wayne E. Knight

Wayne Eugene Knight, age 75, of Point Pleasant, passed away at his residence on September 24, 2014. He is a retired Millwright from American Enka, and he was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a proud US Army veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Nellie Fox Knight; and his in-laws, Don and Lottie Hayes. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Hayes Knight; children, Belinda (Randy) Holt of Point Pleasant, Tony (Margaret) Knight of Bulls Gap, and Becky (Jeff) Shipley of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, PFC Travis (Katie) Knight, Caity Holt, Wil Knight, Cara Holt, Nate Knight and Benson Susong-Shipley; brothers, J.C. (Billie) Knight of Jefferson City, Arvil Knight of Morristown, and Don L. (Elizabeth) Knight of Morristown; sister, Barbara Knight of Talbott; also several nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014, 7:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, with the Rev. Doug King officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the funeral service. Military Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014, 2:00pm at New Home Cemetery in Newport.
