Wayne E. Hart

WAYNE E. HART, age 85, of Dandridge, TN passed away Friday evening, June 12, 2009. He was born September 15, 1923 in Dandridge, the son of the late Hobart and Mae (Hinkle) Hart, Sr. He was a machinist by trade, working in hosiery mills for many years and retired from the machine shop at Enka in Lowland, TN. Wayne was a life long member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Dandridge, where he served as Sunday School Secretary/Treasurer for over 60 years, as well as Deacon, Elder and Trustee, and was named Elder Emeritus in 2007. Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Leona Busler Hart; oldest brother, Leroy Hart; youngest brother, Hobart "Babe" Hart, Jr. Survived by his daughters, Ketisha "Jan" (Frank) Turner of Dandridge and Tammy (Jim) Dill of Alexandria, TN; grandson, Brandon Turner; granddaughter, Chloe Dill; brother and sister-in-law, James and Lillian Hart; sister-in-law, Mrs. Hobart "Ruth" Hart, Jr.; several nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and friend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Hopewell Presbyterian Cemetery Fund, PO Box 215, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Knisley officiating. Interment graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hopewell Cemetery.
