Wanda C. Martin

WANDA C. MARTIN, age 77 of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday evening, August 6, 2016 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. She was a life-long resident of the Chestnut Grove Community of Dandridge and was the daughter of the late Hearsel “Hut” and Pauline (Brown) Martin. Wanda was a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church where she was active in the church and community functions. She was a former member of the cafeteria staff at Maury High School and was a member of the Dandridge Senior Citizens where she enjoyed her sewing and quilting. Wanda is survived by several cousins and a host of friends. Many thanks of gratitude to the staff of the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home for their caring and kindness during her time living there and also to the First Baptist Church of Dandridge for their Sunday morning services at the nursing home that she enjoyed so much. Thanks to special friends Marlene Rainwater McClellan, Lavone Sherrod and the Jarnigan family for their friendship and care and especially, Norma Jarnigan for all she has done for Wanda. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016, 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry DeVaught and Rev. Charlie Shipley officiating. The interment will follow at Balch Cemetery. A time for friends and fellowship will be from 12:00 to 2:00pm Tuesday prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
