Wanda Faye Henderson Bales

WANDA FAYE HENDERSON BALES, age 73, of New Market, TN passed away on September 27, 2020 after an extended illness surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born in Dandridge, TN on June 19, 1947 to Alva “Ray” Henderson and Della Johnson Henderson. Preceded in death by her brothers, J. R. and Tommy Henderson. She is survived by the love of her life of 45 years together, Thomas Joel “T. J.” Bales. Also surviving is her son, Jason Bales and wife Amanda; four grandchildren, Justin, Hailey, Brooklyn and Peyton Bales; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was an active and faithful member of United Methodist Church of New Market. She loved God and her church with all her heart. She worked at Jefferson County Nursing Home as a CNA and in housekeeping for over 32 years. The family has been very blessed by the services of UT Hospice and the Serenity House of Morristown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Serenity House, 421 N. High Street, Morristown, TN 37814. The body will lie in state at Farrar Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday morning at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service with Rev. John Slater officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather at her home for fellowship following the graveside service.
