WANDA M. CARTER, age 74, of Rutledge, TN passed from this life on Thursday, January 19, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be missed by all her family and friends, but her life on this earth was just the beginning of a greater journey. She was a lifetime member of New Blackwell Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa (Darrell) Cox of Talbott; son, Adam (Melissa Foster) of Rutledge; sister, Opal Walker of Rutledge; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank the kind and loving staff of Jefferson Health and Rehabilitation Center and the staff of Avalon Hospice. Special thanks to Cathy Wilson, cousin and caregiver during Wanda’s battle with cancer.
