Walter O. (Smitty) Smith

Walter O. (Smitty) Smith, age 65 of Dandridge, TN, formerly of Newport, MI passed away Wednesday evening, May 12, 2004 at his home. He was a member of the Grants Chapel United Methodist church and was a retired mechanic for Roadway Transport. He was a long time member of AA and had helped many people through his affiliation with the program. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Smith; children, Fred and frank Smith; grandchildren, Terry, Andrew and Greg Smith; mother, Rose Miller; sister, Marilyn Boal. Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the Grants Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Ginger Howe officiating.
