HANSON, age 78, of Jefferson City, TN and formerly of Horse Shoe, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2006 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City and a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by sister, Elaine Zientz. Survived by wife, Betty Hanson; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Pablo Rivera of Hampshire, IL; grandchildren, Jason Childs, Shannon Childs and Justin Childs; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Deanna Hanson; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2006 at First Methodist Church with Reverend Doug Wilder officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. An additional memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006 at First Alliance Church, Windsor Drive, Hendersonville, NC with Reverend Ron Glass officiating.
