Walter R. Cagle

WALTER R. "WALT" CAGLE, age 65 of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday evening, Dec. 30, 2004 following a brief illness. He was born Sept. 28, 1939 in Cocke Co., TN, the son of the late Joseph "Mike" and Beulah Laws Cagle. Walt was owner and operator of his own pool construction business for over 25 years and was noted as being a skilled master of his craft. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961 as part of the Strategic Air Command, loved his Appalachian heritage and enjoyed outdoor activities in the mountains and attended the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Reneau Cagle. Survived by daughter, Carrie Mae Cagle Fox; son, Steven Daniel Cagle; brothers, Donnie Cagle; sister, Barbara Jo Cagle Croley; stepchildren, Donna Lane and Chad Cates; several nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services Sunday 8:00 p.m. at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. John Thompson officiating. Interment graveside services Monday 11:00 a.m. at Union Cemetery with military honors by the Volunteer State Honor Guard.
