W.B. “Dub” Sims, age 88, of the Deep Springs Community of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday evening, January 13, 2014 at his home. He was a member and deacon of the Deep Springs Baptist Church and a retired employee of LeSportsac Co. Dub was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was a true friend to all that knew him. Preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Lillard Matthews Sims; son, Billy David Sims; grandson, Billy Ingram; brothers, Carl and Frank Sims. Survivors include his children, Judy (David) Scott, Carolyn (Gary) Zajac, Bobby Sims and Tommy (Yvonne) Sims; grandchildren, Michael (Misty) Ingram, Beky Sims, Tracey Levens and Jenny Howell; great grandchildren, C.J. Leonard, Joey Ingram, Johnny Ray Ingram, Steven Ingram, David and Nora Levens and Austin Howell; sisters, Betty Scarlett and Becky Thomas; brothers, Sherrod, Ray and Tex Sims; sister-in-law, Martha Rae Sims, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 16, 2014, 7:00pm at Deep Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Matthews and Reverend Chad Chambers officiating. Interment Graveside Services, Friday, 11:00 am at Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
