VON PRIDEMORE BATEMAN, of Jefferson City, TN, born May 1, 1936, died October 11, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was an active member of Lebanon Baptist Church for more than 50 years, where she loved to honor her Lord by singing in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edna Pridemore of Middlesboro, Kentucky, and sister, Judy Pridemore. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James Faine Bateman; daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Joe Whiteside of Morristown, and Debbie and Martin Hatfield of Somerset, Kentucky; son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Jan Bateman of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Logan and Luke Whiteside, Mackenzie and Madison Hatfield, Charlie and Abby Bateman; sisters, Kay Carroll of Speedwell, Tennessee, and Joan Shelby of Warren, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Ellara Wilson, as well as many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. R. J. Seal officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
