Vivian Greene Baxter, age 68, of White Pine, TN, and originally of Canton, NC ?Fought the good fight, finished the race laid out before her, and kept the faith though it all? on April 2, 2012. She has touched many lives with her organ by playing at many weddings, funerals and church services for over 50 years. She was able to praise and worship for many years as the organist at First Baptist Church in White Pine and recently was blessed to play at First United Methodist Church in White Pine. Vivian was the office administrator for Tennessee Well Supply for over 40 years, a business her father began in 1955. Vivian is the loving mom of Elaine McBride, her only child; a doting Grams to Victoria and Caleb; and Great-Grams to Jaela and Sylvia. Also left to mourn her passing are sisters, Doris Taylor and Becky (Robert)Wallace; several nieces, nephews and other family members; special great-nephew, Reece Carter; sister, Jean Taylor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Greene and Geneva Ewart Gaddy; husband of 40 years, George "E.G." Baxter; and many other family members. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 8:00pm at First Baptist Church in White Pine with the Rev. Jerry DeZearn and Rev. Mark McFadden officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00pm prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 10:00am in White Pine Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine at 9:45am to go in procession to cemetery.
