Virsey K. Miller

VIRSEY K. MILLER, age 71, of New Market, TN (Piedmont community) passed away Wednesday morning, May 11, 2011 at her home following a long battle with cancer. She was born August 18, 1940 the daughter of the late Frank and Martha Ellen Sweet. Virsey was a member of the Piedmont Baptist Church and was retired from Tennessee Handbags. Preceded in death by son, Ricky Miller. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Ruble Miller; granddaughters, Terria Miller, Kim Terrell and Cora Butterworth; sisters, Faye Wolfenbarger, Ella VanDyke, Judy Ballard and Carolyn Stansberry; best friend of 35 years, Irene Northern. Our family gives special thanks to Kim Terrell, our newest edition to the family, who allowed Virsey?s dying wish to be made possible and for that we will be forever grateful. A special thanks is also extended to our church families and everyone that showed support and love for us with their prayers, cards and food prepared for the family. Funeral service will be held Friday, 7:00pm at the Piedmont Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Chambers and Rev. Bob Neal officiating. Interment graveside services Saturday, 10:00 am at Piedmont Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday evening 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at the church.
