Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 Phone (865) 475-3892 Fax (865) 475-9916 OBITUARY: VIRGINIA (JENNIE) MCDANIEL MASSENGILL, age 86, of Knoxville, TN and formerly of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville following a brief illness. She was a member of Magna View Baptist Church in Jefferson City and attended Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in Knoxville. Retired from Standard Knitting Mill with 26 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Fred and Cora McDaniel; eight sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Lawrence Massengill; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Eddie Faulkner of Powell, TN; Janet (Susie) and Richard Jackson of North Carolina; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends from Magna View Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p. m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 from the Farrar Jefferson City East Chapel with Reverend George Miller and Reverend Alan Jewett officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 12:00 noon Friday, June 13, 2008 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service. Pallbearers will be Eddie Faulkner, Richard Jackson, Spence Milligan, Dylan Yankee, Ray Herron and Mike Massengill. Grandsons and great-grandsons will be honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Magna View Baptist Church, 1170 E. Highway 11E, Talbott, TN 37877.
