Virginia Ruth Brooks Lindsey

VIRGINIA RUTH BROOKS LINDSEY, age 90, of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday morning, December 11, 2012 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Fannie Brooks; husband, Raymond Lindsey, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Joy Lindsey. She is survived by son, Raymond (Becky) Lindsey; granddaughters, Amy (Aaron)Yarnell and Brooke (Geoff) Milanovich; step-grandchildren, Bre and Bret LaMountain; and great-granddaughters, Elena, Allie, Madison and Rebecca. She was one of the oldest members of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. She had served as worthy matron in the Eastern Star. Mrs. Lindsey worked as a cafeteria manager in several Jefferson County schools for many years. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care and thoughtfulness to the staff of Chandler House, as well as special friends of the family who kept regular tabs on Virginia. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, December 12, 2012 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Joey Manis and Rev. Garland Long conducting the service. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be11:00 a.m. Thursday morning at Shady Grove Cemetery.
