He taught school in the Hamblen County School System for 30 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Annetta Sharp, parents, Narvil and Maxie Goodman Sharp; brother, Larry Sharp. He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Don) Nelson; son Dwayne Sharp; brothers, Clifford (Betty) Sharp and J. D. (Faye) Sharp; sisters, Cleda (Lawrence) Nelson, Edna Watts, and Maxine (Willard) Chapman; sister-in-law, Darlene Sharp; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend George Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
