Preceded in death by father, Joe Brooks and mother, Trula Dalton Brooks; daughter, Patsy French. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 62 years, Mayford French; daughters, Carolyn Wert and husband, James, Barbara Frasier and husband Hoyt; sons, Michael French and wife, Norma, Frankie French and wife, Kay, John French and wife, Betty; grandchildren, Hoyt Brooks Frasier (currently service in Iraq with the 101st Airborne), Sissy, Rosa, Susan Frasier, Tony French, Shana Hodge, Stephen French, Kelly Longmire, Beverly McGaha, Chris Stallings, Mitzi Donahoo, Melanie White, Melinda Breeden; twenty-two great grandchildren; brothers, R. V. Brooks and wife, Joyce, Nathan Brooks and wife, Mary Lou; sisters, Joan Rector and Wanda Hope Brown; aunt, Maude French; uncle, Paul Dalton; several special nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2005 at Deep Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Al Smith, Reverend Bill Witt and Reverend Mike Sledge officiating. Graveside interment services will be 11 :00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2005 at Deep Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony French, Stephen French, Chris Stallings, Mark Brooks, Richard Brooks, and Nathan Brooks, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Deep Springs Cemetery Fund, 408 McGuire Road, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
