VENUS LORRAINE SNYDER HICKMAN, age 88, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 2, 2013. She was a faithful member of Holston Memorial Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Burl Hickman. Survived by daughter, Patricia Province (Roy); grandchildren, Susan, Derek and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Jacob, all of Strawberry Plains; brother, Walter (Bub) Snyder, Jr. of Knoxville. Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Shawn Province and Rev. Arthur Pedigo officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at Pleasant Grove Piney Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
