Velma C. Dalton

Velma C. Dalton, age 75, of Jefferson City, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, serving as Sunday School teacher, secretary and WMU Director. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Josephine Collins and sister, Nova Adams. She is survived by her husband, Don Dalton of Jefferson City; daughter and son in law, Rojean and Tim Ellis of JeffersonCity; son and daughter in law, Zoe and Jean Dalton of Laurinburg, NC; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Vadeboncoeur and Vivian Cole; brothers, Leon Collins, Jr, Quinton Collins, Vernon Collins, Mervile Collins and Larry Collins. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2003 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday prior to services at the church.
