Una B. Rimmer

UNA B. RIMMER, age 89, of Dandridge, TN passed away Friday afternoon, May 29, 2009 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was a long time resident of Dandridge and was a member of the First Baptist Church for many years. She was the daughter of the late Luther A. and Fannie Marie Johnson. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Clyde F. Rimmer; sisters, Nora Smelcer, Retha Miller and Mary Clay Johnson; brothers, Junior, Rev. Robert, Tommy, Rev. Joe and Charles Johnson, and with great respect to the in-laws that predeceased her. Survived by her children, Jerry F. and Mary Lois Rimmer, Vivian Sue Mabe, David S. and Wanda Rimmer, Donald C. and Faye Rimmer; grandchildren, David A. Rimmer, Jeffrey and Kim Rimmer, Tammy and Tyler Herrell, Tina Ottinger, Susan Hubb, Kelly loughner, Cathy and Rodney Ballard, and Brent and Ladenna Mabe, Mike and Linda Rimmer, Paula and Charlie Franklin, Mark Weaver, Donnie E. Rimmer, Chris and Angie Rimmer; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail and Matthew Rimmer, Jayson and Jordan Ottinger, Jessica and Ty Herrell, Somer and Brandon Carter, Casey and Samuel Bridges, Mallory and Jacob Ballard, Brittany and Isabella Mabe, Travis Rimmer, Jesse and Jared Lemons, Austin Weaver; great-great-grandchildren, Noah and Joshua Carter and Cooper Bridges; sister, Annette Parrott; brothers, George and wife Marie, Rev. Steve and wife Jane Johnson; many nieces, nephews and love and respect to her surviving in-laws, Doris Emmit, Billie Jean Lee, Marie Johnson, Fern Johnson and Hazel Rimmer. The Rimmer family wishes to extend their love and appreciation to the staff of the Jefferson County Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Una over the past several years. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Dandridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
