TOMMY MUSICK, age 66, of White Pine, TN passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in his sleep after battling cancer. Tommy was a Jefferson County Commissioner for the past 18 years. Prior to being a commissioner, he served on the Jefferson County School Board for 8 years. Tommy served proudly in the United States Army in Vietnam and received an honorable discharge. He was a member of Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church, and was known by some as ?the man on the little red scooter.? Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Dona Smith Musick; father, Clyde Musick; brother, Robert Musick; special father-in-law, Herbert (Hub) Rines. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rita; son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Judy Musick; granddaughters, Juliana, Laney and Erin; sisters, Bonnie Smith, Shirley Gregg, Lois Holdway; brother, Billy Musick; several nieces and nephews; special mother-in-law, Kathleen Rines; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Evelyn Rines; and special brother and sister, Wallace (Glen) and Cookie Hartsell. Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Leadvale Baptist Church with Pastors Charlie Harkleroad and Charles Robison officiating. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Graveside interment service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at White Pine Cemetery.
