Thomas "Tom" Sheets

THOMAS “TOM” SHEETS , age 88, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at Jefferson Memorial Hospital on March 27, 2015. He was a member of Martha Davis Baptist Church, an employee of TVA for 35 years, and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertrude Sheets; brother, John Sheets, Jr.; sister, Virginia Gwynn. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean Mills Sheets; daughter, Karen Gillis (Gary); sons, Tommy Sheets (Dochie), and Wayne Sheets (Angie); grandchildren, Damon and Stephanie Sheets, Courtney and Keisha Gillis, and Jaela Williams; six great-grandchildren; brother, James Sheets (Elaine); sisters, Susan Smith, Mary Phipps (Harry), and Gladys Clay (George); sisters-in-law, Doris Cunningham, and Mary Brabson (Earl); a host of nieces and nephews; and very special friend, John Gillis. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Nathaniel Wilson officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
