Thomas E. "Tom" Brimer

THOMAS E. "TOM" BRIMER, age 73, of Knoxville, TN passed away Wednesday morning, July 22, 2009 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice following an extended illness. He was born and raised in Dandridge, TN, the son of the late Donald and Kathleen Strange Brimer. Tom was a member of the South Knoxville Church of God and was a retired employee of the University of Tennessee. Preceded in death by son, Johnny Brimer. He is survived by daughters, Peggy (Joe)Sise and Nancy Brimer; grandchildren, John Thomas, Erin and Jessica Sise; sister, Sue Churchman; brothers, Jack "Sandy" (Nina) Brimer and John "Buster" (Dale) Brimer; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the South Knoxville Church of God, 5623 Magazine Road, Knoxville, TN 37920. Graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2009 at Dandridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Robert Branch officiating.
