Box 1025 Dandridge, TN 37725 Phone (865) 397-2711 Fax (865) 397-9289 OBITUARY: THOMAS RYE PATTERSON, age 88 of Dandridge, TN passed away on Monday, April 26, 2004 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a lifelong resident and farmer of the Shady Grove community, oldest and longest member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church, retired from Jefferson Farmers Co-Op and a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by parents, George and Josie Moree Patterson; sister, Roberta Breeden; brother, John Harold Patterson; mother and father-in-law, Grace and Bryan Bishop; sister-in-law, Betty Young; brother-in-law, Jerry Breeden. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lorraine Bishop Patterson; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Jo and Buddy Reneau of Dandridge, Pat and Jimmy Taylor of Dandridge; grandchildren and spouses, Melanie and Mark Kasaval, Brant and Melissa Taylor, Leandra and Tom Puckett, all of Dandridge, Julie and Howard King of Pigeon Forge; great grandchildren, Brittany Gaylor and Jaiden Kasaval, Shane and Thomas Taylor, Ethan, Aleigha and Mathew Puckett, Lauren and Jacob King; sisters, Leona (Jess) Burden of Powell, Katherine Breeden of Kingston; sister-in-law, Ruth Young of Morristown; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at the Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Jeff Moncier officiating. Interment graveside services with military honors will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening prior to the service at the church.
