Thomas "Tom" Jarnigan

REV. THOMAS (TOM) JARNIGAN, age 65, of Rutledge, TN went to his heavenly home on April 28, 2013 after a brief illness. Tom was of the Baptist faith, and was a Baptist minister for over 40 years, and also worked as a funeral director for many years. Tom is preceded in death by his father, James, and mother, Alma Hill Jarnigan; four infant brothers; brother, Frank ; sister, Marie Watson; and special nephew, Dewayne Jarnigan. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce; sons, Stephen Joey (Sabrina) Hodge, and Jesse Lee (Lisa) Jarnigan; special grandchildren, Emily and Trey Hodge; brothers, Clarence and Ed Jarnigan; sisters, Brenda Ball, Mary Owens; and several nieces and nephews. Receiving of friends will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Farrar Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Maurice Quillen and Rev. Willis Shankles officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:00 noon on Thursday to proceed to New Blackwell Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
