Thomas William Harter

Thomas William Harter, age 67 of Morristown, formerly of Cleveland, OH, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at his home. Tom was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Morristown. He is an Army Veteran. His humility, warmth and kindness touched all he met. Tom was born on April 13, 1955 in Cleveland, he was the first born of 2 children, his parents, Polly Harter and Merle Harter. Tom had many jobs within his life, working in different factory jobs, serving our country in the military and traveling  with carnival fairs. After moving to Tennessee with his mother Polly he worked at selling through the local flea markets for many years. Tom was a loving son to his mother and brother to his sister, he was a friend to many and provided assistance when he was able.

He is preceded in death by Polly Harter, Merle Harter, Bill Russell and Paul Mantooth Jr. He is survived by his sister, Betty Sue Harter, nephew, Shawn Harter, uncle, John Mantooth, cousins, Tommy and Debbie Strange and family and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 2:00pm in Calvary Baptist Church, 706 Rosedale Ave, Morristown, TN 37814 with his uncle, Missionary Pastor John Mantooth and Dr. Larry Parrott giving words of comfort at the service.
