Thomas A. "Pete" Shipley

Thomas A. “Pete” Shipley, age 81 of Jefferson City, TN passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, following a brief illness. He attended Edward’s Chapel Church in the Pines of White Pine and was a retired automobile mechanic. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed visiting his many friends. Pete will be remembered for his superb knowledge of facts, figures and events and especially his keen ability to repair automobile engines. He was the son of the late Tom and Asilee Shipley and was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Shipley; sisters, Carrie Lou Shipley and Phyllis Shipley; brothers, Wayne, Steve and Boyd Shipley. He is survived by his children, Tommy Shipley, Kathy “Bug” Ball, Michelle Shipley and Lee Humbard; stepdaughter, Theresa (Glenn) Ray; brother, Charles “Sam” (Kay) Shipley; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024, 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Charles Shipley and Rev. Greg Snyder officiating.
