Thelma "Sis" Loveday Grandstaff, age 92 of Knoxville, peacefully passed to join our Heavenly Father on Good Friday, April 3, 2015 at Jefferson County Nursing Home. Known to many as Mom, Granny and Sis, she has blessed our lives with her many talents of quilting and cooking as well as filled our hearts and memories with laughter and smiles. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, Clifton Grandstaff, parents, Jesse and Rosa Loveday, brothers, Fred, Cecil, Robert and Thurman, sisters, Hazel, Dot, Shirley, and Barbara, son-in-law, Gary Mays and great granddaughter, Heather Miranda. She is survived by her loving children, J.D and Carolyn, June and Bob Bates, Don and Peggy, Jane Mays and Bill and Marsha and 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Agnes (Larry) Ledford and Dean (Charles) Briggs; and brother Kyle (Linda) Loveday. Our family invites you to join us in celebrating her life on Monday, April 6, 2015, 7:00pm at Swann's Chapel Baptist Church, Family will recieve friends from 4-7:00pm prior to the service at the church. Interment Service will be on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 11:00am in Swann's Chapel Cemetery. The family has requested that in Lieu of Flowers, Swann's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1309 Waterfront Dr. Dandridge, TN 37725. The family would also like to give a special thanks to Judy Roberts and the many healthcare workers who cared for her at Jefferson County Nursing Home.
