FOSTER, age 55 of Jefferson City, TN passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at his residence. He was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church. While serving in Vietnam as a U. S. Army Medic, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Bronze Star Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Preceded in death by grandmother, Edith Walker Haworth; grandfather, Ivan Haworth; grandmother, Pearl Foster Williams. Survived by sons, Dr. James David Collins of Atlanta and Jamie Clevenger of Jefferson City; grandson, Tyler; parents, James and Ima Jean Foster; brother, Jimmy Foster; sisters, Fonda Newman and Donna Cochran; half-brothers, James Lester Foster and David Earl Foster; special friend, Fran Baskett; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Wesley Ingram officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening prior to the service at the funeral home.
