T. Gerald Blazer

T. GERALD BLAZER, age 79 of Dandridge, TN formerly of Haywood Co., North Carolina passed away Sunday morning, May 23, 2010. He was a retired electrician for the Champion International Co. of Canton, NC following 39 years of service. After his retirement in 1992 he moved to the Douglas Lake Campground at Dandridge, TN where he could enjoy the outdoor activities of boating, fishing and the community fellowship with other campers. He will be fondly remembered for being able to fix about anything and was always willing to help his friends and neighbors. He enjoyed his friends and activities at the Dandridge Senior Citizens Center and attending the First Baptist Church of Dandridge. Gerald Blazer will be greatly missed and affectionately remembered as one that . . .? Loved His Family and Friends?. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Cleophus and Mary Ruth Wilson Blazer; daughter, Mitzi Blazer Phillips; granddaughter, Katie Phillips; sister, Ruby Trantham and an infant brother; former wife, Nancy Mease Blazer. Survived by his sons, Gene and Mary Ann Blazer of Killen, AL, Gary and Cee Cee Blazer of Rocky Point, NC, James and Sharon Blazer of Canton, NC; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Putnam of Canton, NC and several nieces and nephews. At his request there will be no formal visitation. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 10:30 am at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge to assemble the funeral cortege to Dandridge Memorial Gardens for a graveside funeral service at 11:00 am.
