Susan Davenport Woodyard

SUSAN DAVENPORT WOODYARD, age 91, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday morning, April 23, 2011 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Evaline Davenport and was preceded in death by her husband, Quintin (Woody) Woodyard; two sisters; seven brothers; and special friend, Hal Whillock. Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge and enjoyed the fellowship at Dandridge Senior Center. She will be remembered for her joy of fishing and her passion of being an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Ann Davenport and Maude Davenport; several cousins and several nieces and nephews in Florida, Ohio, Kentucky and Missouri; and her extended families of Helen Jordan and Mary Turpin of Knoxville and Mary Lou Eslinger of Dandridge. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 246, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011, 2:30 pm at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
