Susan Sheets Smith

Susan Sheets Smith, age 91 of Morristown, TN, born and raised in Jefferson City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. She is preceded in death by her husbands, David R. Clark, Jr. and Eddie L. Smith, parents, John and Gertrude Sheets, brothers, John and Tom Sheets, sisters, Virginia Gwynn and Trudie Mae Sheets. She was a lifelong member of Martha Davis Baptist Church and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She was a retired school teacher. She is survived by her children, David R. (Myong Cha) Clark, III, Wayman M. (Marnita) Clark, Deborah D. Bryant, Aaron B. Clark, grandchildren, Jessica (Joshua) Tyree, David (Ashley) Clark, Daniel (Megan) Clark, Rebecca Clark, Mary Grace (Adam) Eury, Tia (Carlos) Ervin, and Brian Briddle, 16 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, brother and sisters, James A. (Elaine) Sheets, Mary Phipps, and Gladys Clay, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Graveside interment service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Nathaniel Wilson officiating. In consideration of the health and safety of all those attending the services, Farrar Funeral Home strongly encourages all CDC guidelines be followed, including the use of face masks.
